A vice-president with Burlington Industrial Fabrics, McQueen was on his way with colleague Kenneth Fleming to visit White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, at the time of the accident.
McQueen was a graduate of Boston University living in Middletown, New Jersey, with his wife, Florence, and two young children, William Jr., 3, and Kimberly, 2.
At the time of his death, according to the New York Times, McQueen’s mother, also named Florence, was living in Corpus Christi, Texas, and his brother, John, in San Antonio.
